Applet Websites
University of Oregon Virtual Laboratory
This site features elaborate applets in the areas of astrophysics, mechanics and thermodynamics.
Walter Fendt
Walter Fendt's applets are very well designed and useful for senior secondary physics. They cover waves(9), optics (6), electrodynamics (13), thermodynamics (1), mechanics (17), relativity (1), atomic physics (2) and nuclear physics (2).
Ohio State University Applets
Prof Durkin's home page at Ohio State Uni has several applets on Sound, Light, Waves and Atomic and Nuclear Physics. Most redirect you to applets on other sites.
Semiconductor applets
A website listing a large number of applets to explain semiconductors. Nearly all are beyond secondary, but there are some on pn junction and npn transistors that would interest the enquiring student.
Surendrath Applets
Some very useful applets by an Indian physics teacher.
The Physics Teacher Index
Applets, Resources, Experiments, Careers, Links, etc.
Physics Education technology (PhET)
A link to their resources and programs.
NTNU Java applets
This website of applets by Fu-Kwan Hwang from National Taiwan University has been running for many years. It now has contributions from many people across most areas of physics. It is designed along Bulletin Board lines.
Virtual Physics Labs
A collection of applets at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU). Mechanics(16), Electricity, Magnetism & Light (37). Some are traditional and some are links to PhET.
The Physics Classroom
This website features i) Tutorials, ii) a Multimedia Studio of animations and applets on the full range of physics content as well as Quicktime movies and iii) Shockwave files. There are also prac and teaching resources for teachers.
