Physics Days at Luna Park: Excursion planning

Luna Park will be hosting Physics Days in 2008 on Tuesday 4th, Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th March, as well as Tuesday 15th April.

Please note that Luna Park Operations reserves the right to cancel any day based on insufficient numbers.

The cost to students will be $20.95 each. To make a booking contact Luna Park by phone 9525 5033 or use the Hire Agreement form. Please note that a deposit will be required to confirm the booking, but this is not due until Friday 15th February 2008. Luna Park will invoice the school for the balance after the event once actual student numbers are known. Cheques need to be made our to "Luna Park Melbourne". An information sheet is also available.

Information for teachers on the management of the day is available.

Worksheets with answers are available for each of the rides. Teachers can download, modify and copy them for their students. There will be no worksheets available on the day.

Dataloggers can record x, y and z acceleration and altitude during the rides. Schools can hire Pasco and Vernier dataloggers for a half day or a full day. Check the "Dataloggers" link for hiring information, data analysis software and sample data files.

Videos of some of the rides are available for video analysis in the classroom and/or promotion of the excursion.
