AIP Physics Photo ContestThe contest is open to students in Victorian schools. Entrants must submit their photos by email attachment. In addition entrants must print out, complete, sign, and mail the Contest Rules and Entry Agreement. Failure to submit this form will invalidate the contest entry. Both the email and the hard copy must contain a statement of 250 words or less describing the physics in the photo. The statement should have a title and must be written by the entrant. The photo and the statement should be emailed to Dan O'Keeffe at danok@bigpond.com. The signed copy of the agreement should be sent to AIP Physics Photo Contest, PO Box 304, Glen Waverley, 3150. Submitted Photos and the accompanying statments will be displayed on this website as they are received. Entries are limited to 10 per school each year. Photos will be accepted until the last day of Term 3, 2008. Judging will be by a panel appointed by the AIP Education Committee with expertise in scientific photography. Judging should be based on the quality of the photo and the accuracy of the physics statement. The rules and conditions of the AIP Photo contest are based on those of the photo contest of the American Association of Physics Teachers where previous winners of their photo contest are displayed.
