AIP Physics Video Clip Contest

The contest is open to students and teachers in Victorian schools with a separate category for each. The video clip should demonstrate physics in action. Entrants must submit their video either as an email attachment or on a DVD. Videos must be in MP4 or Quicktime format, or a format suitable for video streaming. The video may not be longer than three minutes in length. In addition entrants must print out, complete, sign, and mail the Contest Rules and Entry Agreement. Failure to submit this form will invalidate the contest entry.

Both the email and the hard copy must contain a statement of 250 words or less explaining the physics in the video. The statement should have a title and must be written by the entrant. The video and the statement can be emailed to Dan O'Keeffe at danok@bigpond.com or sent to AIP Physics Video Contest, PO Box 304, Glen Waverley, 3150. Submitted videos will be displayed on this website as they are received.

Entries are limited to 10 per school each year.

Prize pool $1000 will be available for each category.

Judging Upon receipt each video will be placed on the AIP website. Videos will be accepted until the last day of October, 2008. The best three entries in each category will be selected for judging at the annual Physics Teachers Conference in February. Videos will be evaluated on their suitability for instructional use.
