The Physics Study Design to be implemented in 2013 including details of the arrangements for the Detailed Studies in Units 3 and 4, assessment weighting and the exam coverage are available on the VCAA website at http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/studi....html#H3N1009F
The significant changes are:
• Students doing Units 3 and 4 need do only one Detailed Study for the whole year. The Detailed Study can be any of the six currently on offer. It can also be done at any time in the year.
• The end of year exam will be two and a half hours in length and contribute 60% to the study score.
• The exam will cover the core Areas of Study for both Units and all Detailed Studies. Students choose one of the Detailed Studies to answer.
• The EPI can be done in any of the core Areas of Study from Units 3 or 4 or the chosen Detailed Study.
