American Association of Physics Teachers
The principal value of this site is its link to the Physical Science Resource Center (PSRC), which is an extensive resource of physics material. The site also links to other scientific organisations in the US.
Australian Academy of Science
The Academy has a policy setting and educational role. It has established the "NOVA: Science in the news" site, it also has interviews with Australian scientists including Mark Oliphant and Neville Fletcher.
Australian Institute of Physics
This site is the general site for the AIP, it has an extensive file of "High School Physics Resources" although some are more appropriate for NSW.
European Physical Society
A general site with some reference to how Europe is handling the issues facing physics.
Nobel Foundation
A history of the Nobel Physics Prizes including the presentation speech made about each winner, as well as an extensive biography. There is also a long essay covering the developments in physics from 1901 - 1999 referring to each winner as their contribution was made.
Women in Physics
The Australian Institute of Physics has a 'Women in Physics' section.
Foresight Institute
The Foresight Institute is a non-profit organisation which promotes discussion and research of nanotechnology.
Project 2061
Project 2061 was set up by the American Association for the Advancement of Science to achieve science literacy for all Americans by the time of comet Halley's return in 2061. It is a very thorough and well resourced science education project.
Nanotechnology Australia
Nanotechnology Australia fosters, develops and promotes all aspects of nanotechnology in the Australasian region. It is an online reference guide which provides: information on research activities and nanotechnology applications, in-depth country reports, nanotechnology company case studies, industry sector updates, national and international project funding information, cutting-edge conferences, education and training promotion, and advertising and sponsorship opportunities.
