Exploring Matter with Synchrotron Light. A multi award winning multimedia package produced by ESRF, the European Synchrotron Research Facility. The link is a document that contains a description of the content on the CDROM and an order form. The cost of the CDROM is $60.
For Hire
Microwave Kit. The kit can be hired for a week at a time. The kit can be used for both Unit 1 Light and the Unit 4 Detailed Study "Synchrotron and its applications". The kit enables the wave properties of microwave radiation to be investigated and also enables students to do a formal experiment on Bragg diffraction. The link is to a document that describes the content of the kit and how schools can book a kit. The current availability of the kits is in this Excel file. It is a condition of hiring that nearby schools should be able to ask if they could borrow the kit for a day during the kit's week stay at the host school. The cost of hiring a kit for a week is $50. The cost of couriering the kit to and from the school is covered by the AIP (Vic Branch) Education Committee.
