Dr Stevenson's powerpoint presentation has been broken up into 10 files for easy downloading. They range from 1 to 3 meg in size. There is additional text behind each slide which can be seen in "Notes page view".

Classroom Activities

Kits and Activities.A 6 page Word file (129kB) of commercially available kits and classroom demonstrations, quantitative experiments and projects compiled by Dr Andrew Stevenson of the Photonics Institute.

A Photonics kit is available from Ciderhouse.

Code of Practice for the Safe Use of Lasers in secondary schools (1995). Australian Photonics Institute. A very useful site.

Victorian Photonics Network is a very active industry-based networking group. Its website has an extensive list of resources. Also being on their email list (register through the website) is a handy way of being informed of what is happening in this area.

The web site Semiconductor Educational applets has an extensive range of applets covering many aspects of photonics. The applets have a tertiary emphasis but the basic ones are instructive and and they are all professional constructed.
