- Changes to the Study Design: Tables of the changes to the Study Design, dot point by dot point, have been compiled for each Area of Study and Detailed Study. For most the table occupies one page, for others the table goes over two pages. The table has three columns, the new dot points, the old dot points and in between a column briefly describing the change, e.g. "Reworded'. The whole document is 28 pages long and 316k.
- Practical Activities: A list of possible practical activities has been compiled for all Areas of Study and nearly all the Detailed Studies. Possible topics for practical investigations for Units 1 - 3 are also included. 228k
- A sample course for Units 1 and 2 has been prepared. It includes a possible time allocation for Areas of Study and indeed, for individual dot points, as well as possible activities. The sample course takes the approach of selecting Detailed Studies that relate to the context “Solutions for Climate Change” and finding links to the core Areas of Study. 137k
- Conceptual Understanding Procedures (CUPs) for Physics CUPs is an initiative of Monash University. It is a set of teaching procedures designed to aid the development of understanding of concepts that students find difficult. A description is included. Examples are at CUPs. 40k
- Resources on ‘Forces on Passengers’ from the VELS website This document describes the extensive range of information on students’ misconceptions in science available on the VELS website. A summary of one example is included that of ‘Forces on passengers’. To access the website select VELS. 82k
