Vicphysics Teachers’ Network with the support of the Department of Education Strategic Partnership Program is offering workshops for year 5 – 10 science teachers who find the teaching of physical science concepts challenging and are keen to improve their understanding and teaching strategies of this content.
This project offers out-of-field teachers an opportunity to engage deeply with curriculum by stepping them through the vertical conceptual development of the relevant key knowledge and skills in the curriculum and by explicitly working through appropriate interactive learning activities, enabling teachers to experience the content both as students and teachers.
It will consist of 2 six hour sessions presented in person in Mildura from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Thursday 11th June and Tuesday 16th June
Because circuits and some basic electrical concepts are now part of the grade 5 and 6 curriculum, primary school teachers are welcome to join the first day of this program, on Thursday 11th June.
The cost of the two sessions is $330. A 33% discount is available for government schools and a 50% discount for low ICSEA schools. For primary school teachers attending on 11th June only, the cost is $220, with a discount also available for government school teachers.

Please note: The booking system does not work with Internet Explorer, so you will need to use another browser. A credit card is preferred, but the system can generate an invoice for payment by EFT if the school does not have a credit card and will not reimburse a personal credit card.
This event is organised by the Vicphysics Teachers’ Network and is supported by the Strategic Partnerships Program of the Department of Education and Training.
